The Supreme Court of Nigeria will today (Friday, August 23) deliver final judgments in the disputes that arose in the conduct of governorship elections in Bayelsa and Kogi States in 2023.

The apex court had taken arguments from lawyers representing various candidates in the disputes on Monday but reserved judgements.

However, the Justice Garba Lawal-led 5-man panel of justices has communicated combatants in the legal tussles that its final decision is ready for delivery on Friday.

Barrister Tunde Falola, counsel to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, confirmed that the apex court has served notice of judgement delivery on them.
