The proposed construction of an ultramodern borehole in Idegun community in Etsako West Local Government Area has received a significant boost with the payment of 3 percent counterpart funding by the local government council chairman, Hon. Marvelous Muhizu Zibiri.
The chairman said that the initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Edo State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), and aims to provide potable and safe drinking water to enhance the quality of life for residents in the community.
While presenting the cheque, the chairman expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki for his consistent support and responsiveness to the needs of community’s development across the entire state.
He however emphasized that this collaboration underscores his commitment to development and improved infrastructure within the entire local government area.
As part of his commitment to community service development, the chairman assured that all other communities in the local government area will also benefit from subsequent projects requiring counterpart funding.
In a symbolic presentation, the chairman, along with the General Manager of CSDA, Engr. Osarume Osazuwa, presented a cheque to the Idegun traditional rulers’ council to mark the project’s takeoff.
