Head Coach of Enyimba FC, Yemi Olanrewaju has revealed what he will do differently with the People’s Elephants of Aba.

Olanrewaju, who was unveiled by the club Chairman, Nwankwo Kanu on a one-year contract with the option of extension said he understands what it means to lead the Aba Landlords.

According to him, fans and supporters of the club should anticipate good football noting that the goal is to emerge winners of the NPFL.

On the club’s CAF Confederation Cup aspirations, Olanrewaju assured that the target is to secure a place in the group stages.

He said: “As the head coach of Enyimba, I know the pressure and what constitutes to be the head coach. This is not my first year, but my third year at the club. I know what the fans want. You cannot have a more pressure job than coaching Enyimba.

“The fans are insatiable. We will do our best to make sure we make everyone happy even though it’s more like a rebuilding. Losing seven important players from last season makes the team look like we have to start all over again.

“We have good players and made some good signings. We are working on integration to make them settle down quickly to get the job done because nobody is going to listen to excuses.

“I know the club and what the club wants. Nobody cares about you having a lot of new players. All they want is result and they want it as soon as possible. They are going to see good football. That’s my signature in all the clubs that I have coached.

“In continental, the first assignment is to get to group stages. What is ahead of us is getting to the group stages and for the league, second position is not accepted. You have to fight for the top position and that is what we are going to do.”
