Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested some suspected vote-buyers in the ongoing Edo governorship election.
The suspects were arrested in the Egor Local Government Area of the state around 10:00 am.
EFCC officials left the location with three suspects – two males and a female. But some residents kicked against the arrest, insisting they were being victimized.
Some incidents of vote-buying were also recorded across various polling units in ward 6 Ikpoba Okha as well as at Ward 4, Emokpae Primary School, Oredo LGA.
