Prospective voters were seriously stranded at ward 11 unit 5, in Azama Primary School, Jattu as at 12:15 pm on Saturday as INEC BVAS machines were said not to be working while the people patiently waited for INEC officials to replace the machines.
Former deputy governor of the state, Comrade Philip Shaibu, who votes at the polling unit, was also on ground to ensure that things were rectified.
Speaking on the issue, Shaibu, who expressed disappointment, said the unit has over 2,000 registered voters who were at the risk of being disfranchised.
He, however, assured the people that INEC promised to extend the voting period.
