The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, October 1, as a public holiday to celebrate the nation’s 64th Independence Day.
Making this known, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad on the occasion.
Tunji-Ojo commended Nigerians, remarking that their sacrifices would not be in vain.
The Minister urged Nigerians to reflect on the labour of our heroes past and be inspired for the tasks ahead, realising that a Nigeria of our dream can only be built when we unite.
He urged countrymen and women to continue to be steadfast in nation-building.
