… plots Benin, Rwanda’s defeat
Interim Super Eagles Manager, Augustine Eguavoen has chosen Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede to support him in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
In a statement released on Monday, Ademola Olajire, the Director of Communications for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), announced that Enugu Rangers’ head coach, Ilechukwu, and Ogunmodede of Remo Stars will assist Eguavoen for these two crucial matches.
“Ilechukwu led the Flying Antelopes to triumph in Nigeria’s elite division last season, with Ogunmodede’s Remo Stars in second place.
“They will be joined in Uyo by Tomaz Zorec, a fitness trainer from Slovenia; goalkeeper trainer, Olatunji Baruwa and match analyst, Eboboritse Uwejamomere,” Olajire said.
He stated that players and officials of the three-time African champions are expected to arrive in Uyo on Monday to start preparing for Saturday’s match against the Cheetahs at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, scheduled for 5 pm.
Olajire also mentioned that the team will depart for Kigali on Sunday for the Matchday 2 encounter with the Bees of Rwanda, set to take place on Tuesday at the Amahoro Stadium, starting at 2 p.m.
