The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has confirmed a new date for the rescheduled matchday 3 fixture between Enyimba and Akwa United.
Initially set for Sunday, September 22, the game will now take place on Wednesday, October 2, at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
NPFL Chief Operating Officer Davidson Owumi announced the updated schedule in a letter to the two clubs involved.
The fixture was postponed due to Enyimba’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round second-leg match against Etoile Filante, which took place on Saturday.
Enyimba played out a goalless draw with the Burkinabe side in Mali last Friday. The match will now be held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
