Asisat Oshoala scored the decisive goal in the 75th minute to lead Bay FC to a 1-0 victory over Racing Louisville FC at PayPal Park this past weekend.
The goal marked Oshoala’s fourth of the season, maintaining her status as the team’s top scorer.
Notably, three of her four goals this season have been crucial game-winners.
Hocking, making her debut for Bay FC, provided the assist for Oshoala’s goal, marking her first contribution for the team. This assist follows her previous one for the Chicago Red Stars against Louisville on August 24.
With this win, Bay FC (8-11-0, 24pts) ascended to seventh place in the NWSL standings, their highest position since Week 4.
Depending on the outcome of the Chicago Red Stars vs. Orlando Pride match, Bay FC could finish the weekend in seventh or eighth place. They are currently three points behind Portland in sixth and four points behind North Carolina Courage in fifth.
