Roma have parted ways with manager Daniele De Rossi after a disappointing start to the 2024/2025 season.

The club made the announcement in a statement, citing the need to “quickly return to the desired path” while there is still time to salvage the season.

De Rossi, a former Roma player, took over as interim manager in 2023, replacing José Mourinho. Although he was handed a new three-year contract in June 2024, his stint has been abruptly cut short after just four games into the new season. Under his leadership, Roma struggled with one loss and three draws.

The club expressed its gratitude for De Rossi’s “passion and dedication” during his time as head coach.
