… gives coach Odigie, players a three-match ultimatum

The Bendel Insurance Supporters’ Club has issued coach Monday Odigie and his team a three-match ultimatum to prove that they are ready to continue with the Club due to the recent rising and falling disappointing performance in the ongoing 2024/25 NPFL season.

Insurance Supporters’ Club, led by Chief Osadolor Ojefa, has expressed concern over the poor performance of Odigie’s team both at home and away. He added that the club could not afford to go back to their nightmare days of relegation after just getting back from it.

“We can’t continue to lose matches even at home. We are pained and bitter in our minds. We have come here to tell you our minds, we must try as much as possible to change our mindset. We need results because that is the only we can make the government happy and make ourselves happy too,” Chief Ojefa said.

“Bendel Insurance is a household name in Africa…we don’t want to go back to the dark days. All in all, we have unanimously agreed to give coach Monday Odigie and the entire team a three-match ultimatum, starting with this weekend’s game against Sunshine Stars of Akure taking place in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

“He must win away matches and come back home to win three straight home games, or else they should be ready to leave Bendel Insurance. We know how much of our monies, time, and energy we have committed to supporting Bendel Insurance, the only way to make us happy is good results,” he added.

Bendel Insurance are currently 15th on the NPFL table with nine points which is just three points above the bottom club, Akwa Ibom.

Insurance would be travelling to Akure on Sunday in anticipation of securing the needed three points to increase their chances of not making the bottom four.
