… fixes $150,000 as appearance fee

Ahead of the highly anticipated Women’s Champions League (WCL) in Morroco, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed a new logo for the league’s Fourth edition.

The logo, according to CAF signifies the unyielding spirit and excellence of the African women’s club and will be part of the identity of this edition of WCL, with the opening match set to kick off on Saturday, November 9.

Using the vibrant colors of CAF Women’s Football’s visual identity—purple, orange, and pink—to symbolize royalty, innovation, and the spirited youth of the continent, the tournament promises significant rewards. The champions will earn USD 400,000, while the runners-up will receive USD 250,000, reflecting CAF’s commitment to supporting women’s clubs and investing in the growth of the sport.

Meanwhile, the Confederation has also fixed 150,000 dollars as the participating fee for each of the eight teams participating in the tournament.

This year’s fee got a 52% percent increase by CAF while Nigeria’s representative, Edo Queens are expected to take home with them 255,000,000 for participating in the competition

Eight teams set to compete in the tournament are holders Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), host ASFAR (Morocco), WAFU A Aigles de la Medina (Senegal), WAFU B Edo Queens (Nigeria), COSAFA University of the Western Cape (South Africa), UNAF FC Masar (Egypt), CECAFA CBE FC (Ethiopia), and UNIFFAC TP Mazembe (DR Congo).
