The Edo State House of Assembly on Monday confirmed 4 nominees as chairman and members of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
Dr.Paddy Iyamu would serve as chairman of the board while Christopher Abuya(Edo Central) , Idris Aminu (Edo North) ,Mrs.Angela Ekiuwa Okpame (Edo South) as members
The names of the 4 nominees were contained in a letter dated 20th November and sent to the house for confirmation by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The confirmation was sequel adoption of the 1-point recommendation of the report of the house committee on rules, business and government house that screened and found all 4 nominees to be educationally and professionally qualified for the job.
The 4 nominees were thereafter cleared and confirmed at the committee of the whole after the adoption of the report of the house committee on rules , business and government during plenary.
The speaker thereafter directed that clean copies of the resolution for the Governor for necessary action.
Also at plenary, CP Friday Ibadin was confirmed as Corps Commandant of State Security Network Corp.
