BENIN CITY – The Edo State Government has recovered 25 vehicles allegedly withheld by the past administration within the last 72 hours.
Kelly Okungbowa, Chairman of the Vehicle Recovery Committee, disclosed this during a briefing in Benin City, urging the public to provide information to aid further recoveries.
“In 72 hours, we have recovered 25 government vehicles, including 10 Hilux, three Toyota Hiace buses, two Pajeros, four Prado Jeeps, a Lexus Jeep, a JSC car, and a Toyota Camry,” he stated.
Okungbowa called on individuals still in possession of government vehicles to return them, warning that security agencies would retrieve those taken out of the state. Whistleblowers were encouraged to report anonymously and promised handsome rewards for credible information.
