Edo State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo has signed into law a revised appropriation bill of N486 billion into law to ensure that the new administration hit the ground running.

The revised appropriation bill was passed by the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) and the speaker of the House Honourable Blessing Agbebaku led other law makers to the Exco chamber where the governor ascent to the bill.

The total reversed budget is N485, 634,894,248.87k and the breakdown shows that N202,647,290, 608. 85k is for recurrent expenditures and N282,987,603,640.87k is for capital expenditure

The governor thanked the law makers for their cooperation with the executive and speedy passage of the bill which will ensure that his administration delivers the dividends of democracy to the people of Edo State.

“I want to thank you for your cooperation and speedy passage of the bill. I believe if we continue in this speed Edo State will experience tremendous transformation. I see hungry men and women that are ready to work for Edo people, ready to work for the development of the State”.

Earlier, the speaker of EDHA Honourable Blessing Agbebaku said the lawmakers of the 8th Assembly speedily passed the appropriation bill as they wants the new administration to hit the ground running.
