Super Eagles legend Nwankwo Kanu is rooting for Ademola Lookman to win the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
The 27-year-old performance was impressive for both club and country thereby making him the only African nominated in the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
The Atalanta playmaker finished 14th in the overall ranking.
Kanu, who has won the award twice in the past, is rest assured that Lookman is the only player qualified to win the award.
“Lookman is a very good player, humble works very hard and going by the records, I believe he will win,” said Kanu.
“I don’t know of any African player who has done better than him this year. He was ranked well in the Ballon d’Or (14th) and has done well for both club and country,” Kanu stated.
