Our source who want to remain anonymity stated that the right to lives and human rights violations is almost enveloping the society, he emphasized that these days it had become difficult to leave together as one, this he said is because the situation have taken a new thread, few months ago septuagenarian narrowly escaped death in the hands of the attackers at Okos quarters, ubiaja road uromi, he said these situation is becoming too rampant in the society, speaking further he stated that the invader’s stormed the house and descended on the victim, beats the occupants and the septuagenarian to stupor and inflicted injuries on them.
Our investigation teams took a visit to house of the victim, stated that on getting there, you can visibly seen pained looking old woman who house was burned down gave her names as Mrs Paulina Esene, narrating her urdeal in the hands of the attackers, she told our crime desks that she believed the thugs whom attacked her in her residence are suspected agents of the man who deceived her son marcel Esene to travel Europe whom she gave his names as mr joe saba, that unknown to her son Marcel, that Mr joe saba will forced him into selling of drugs in Europe.
While briefing newsmen including the Nigerian observer in Benin City Edo State capital the police image maker Edo state police command, stated that a petition before him filled by one Mr Ehis Esene the elder brother to marcel, stated that on the 15, November 2024 at about 17000hrs, one Mr Ehis Esene came to the command and reported a case of attacked on his mother and the rest of the occupants their family house by thugs suspected to been agents of
Mr joe saba who deceived his brother, that he will take him to aboard and work as a tiler, that before taken his brother to Europe there was an agreement reached by both parties, that surprisingly upon his brother arrived in Europe according to the petitioner he was immediately forced into selling of drugs for Mr joe saba, a job his brother said is against his Christians faith.
Further investigation revealed that the said marcel Esene worked for Mr (saba) for sometime because he was taken hostage and forced into selling of drugs, a situation he said his brother said his brother can no longer bear and is against their Christian faith.
”Its was also stated in the petition that the attackers who went to Esene’s family house, went there with dangerous weapon like daga – knife, battle axe and cutlass and attacked the occupants, they
promise to come back on till marcel paid with his life to Mr joe saba hence his life and that of the septuagenarian are in danger.
As at the time of filling in this report, whereabout of Marcel Esene is unknown.
