The Benin Traditional Council (BTC) has lifted the suspension on the use of the red coral bead.
In a statement signed by Frank Irabor, Secretary of the BTC, it was announced that “The red coral bead is now permitted for use by the general public.”
The statement further noted that the funeral rites of Iyoba Omo N’ Ikuoyemwen, Iyoba Ewuare II, have been successfully completed.
