… As Akpabio hails Muslims

President Ahmed Bola Tinubu on Sunday hosted guests for the Eid-El-Fitr homage at the Presidential Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja.

Sunday’s meeting began at 12:16 pm when the president arrived at the venue.

The guests included some lawmakers representing the Federal Capital Territory at the National Assembly, area councils chairpersons of the FCT, traditional rulers, leaders of the Christian and Muslim community, senior judicial officers, among others.

The opening prayers were said by the Chairman of the FCT Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Dr Timothy Amazon and the Murshid of the National Mosque, Prof. SAS Galadanci.

According to our source, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike led the delegation.

Meanwhile, the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio has hailed the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, urging them to pray for the unity of the nation.

This was contained in a congratulatory message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh in Abuja.

The former governor appealed that as the faithful celebrate Sallah, they should continue to pray and work for the unity of the country.

He said “As you celebrate the end of Ramadan and mark the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, I send you my warmest felicitations on behalf of my family, constituents, the 10th Senate and the entire National Assembly.

“May this joyous occasion bring you peace, happiness, and spiritual renewal. May the blessings of Allah be upon you and your loved ones. As we celebrate, let us remember the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that define the spirit of Ramadan.

“May we continue to uphold these values in our daily lives and continuously work for our unity. Once again, I wish you all a happy and blessed Eid-el-Fitri.”
