The office of the Edo State deputy governor was thrown into a festive mood on March 24, 2025 as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ovia North-East Local Government Area paid a solidarity and courtesy visit. 

During the visit, Hon. Dennis Idahosa informed the party faithful and local chieftains that Governor Monday Okpebholo, in his commitment to uplifting the economy and infrastructure, has approved two major road projects for the area.

Idahosa announced that the governor has finalized procurement processes for the extension of the road from Ekenhuan Barracks to the Ekenhuan community, signaling a significant dividend of democracy for the people of Ovia North-East. 

He added that the procurement process for Okhuo Road, from the 7Up Bottling Company to Siluko Road, has also been completed, further cementing the administration’s dedication to infrastructure development.

The visit was marked by expressions of elation from party leaders. 

Ovia North-East APC Chairman, Hon. Oscar Aghedo noted that the group was not only there to congratulate Governor Okpebholo on his recent electoral victory, but also to reaffirm their unwavering commitment to the current administration. 

Other leaders, including Hon. Prince Samuel Aghedo, Prof. Ovenseri Aibueku, Mrs. Sonata Eweka, Hon. (Engr.) Osazee Eghe Sunday, and Charity Amayaenvbo, shared words of encouragement on behalf of youths, ward leaders, women leaders, and the broader community, all buoyed by the promise of improved local infrastructure and economic growth.
