The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refuted claims that it will resume the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and replacement of lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) on May 27, 2025.
Mr. Rotimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, debunked the report in a statement on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Abuja.
“The report is untrue. The Commission has not announced any resumption date for the CVR,” Oyekanmi stated.
INEC urged the public to disregard the misinformation, emphasizing that any official updates on voter registration will be communicated through its verified channels.
