Aniocha South Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for teachers, pupils, and students across the local government.
He praised teachers for their dedication and resilience, acknowledging the profound impact they have on shaping the future of society.
The chairman made these remarks while hosting Comrade Titus Okotie who led the state leadership of NUT, and Comrade Kentoa Alex, of the Aniocha South branch executive, of the union in his office.
“As someone who hails from a family of teachers, I deeply understand the significance of your role in shaping the society. You are the catalysts for positive change, and I encourage you to see yourselves as change agents inspiring a brighter future,” Chukwunwike stated.
He reassured the teachers of his unwavering commitment to creating a future that everyone can be proud of.
The council boss also took the opportunity to commend Comrade Okotie for his tireless efforts in advocating for the welfare of teachers at strategic state meetings.
Earlier, Comrade Okotie expressed appreciation for the council boss’s impressive performance and his commitment to supporting the teachers’ union since assuming office. They sought the council’s support in securing land for a befitting NUT Secretariat, highlighting the importance of their collaborative partnership.
The event was marked with the presentation of a plaque to the chairman, recognizing his outstanding leadership and vision in Aniocha South.
