The Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is gaining increasing support across Edo State as preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.

Speaking in Benin City, Ohonbamu highlighted that prominent members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been joining the APC in recognition of the positive transformation driven by Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Ohonbamu lauded the governor’s leadership, stating that the APC, under Okpebholo’s direction, is elevating the state’s development and earning the trust of opposition figures and other well-meaning citizens.

He called on Edo people to remain engaged in the state’s political and socio-economic progress, especially at this crucial phase of its development.

Urging grassroots mobilisation, he encouraged residents to sensitise their communities across all three senatorial districts to take full advantage of the harmonious relationship between the state and the Federal Government.

Ohonbamu expressed confidence that the APC, with Okpebholo at the helm, would outperform other political parties as the 2027 elections approach, ensuring continuity in governance.

He urged full support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asserting that his leadership will bring continued success to both the state and the country.

He further stated that the APC’s current unity in Edo is a clear signal of its preparedness for electoral victory, while the influence of the PDP is steadily diminishing.

Ohonbamu therefore called for prayers and unwavering support for Governor Okpebholo’s administration, expressing optimism that the present challenges will soon be a thing of the past.
