The Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr Joseph Onojaeme at the weekend joined other Isoko leaders from across party lines and business moguls from various sectors at Uzere, in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking at the gathering, Dr Onojaeme underscored the importance of unity within the Isoko Nation. He stated, “The interest of the Isoko Nation supersedes individual ambitions. The unification of Isoko people is crucial. We must come together and speak with one voice as a nation.”

Prominent figures present at the meeting included Hon. Pst. Jonathan Ajirioghene Ukodhiko, Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives; Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, Chairman of Isoko North LGA; Hon. Comr. Warri Ovoke Friday, Chairman of Isoko South LGA; Gen. Alexander Ogomudia (Rtd), former Chief of Defence Staff; Hon. Bernard Odior, Majority Whip, Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA); Hon. Ferguson Onwo, Member, DTHA; and Hon. Chief Goodnews Emamusi, Commissioner for Lands and Survey.

Others included Hon. Bino Owhede, Member, DTHA; Chief Kome Okpobor, EDFA; Chief Emmanuel Erezi Okpomor, Executive Assistant to the Governor; Barr. Jay Ogor; Hon. Emmanuel Emmanuel Ajiri Egbabor, State Organising Secretary of the PDP; Prof. Chris Akpotu, President General of the Isoko Development Union (IDU); Comr. Zino Onaemor; Chief Eta Enahoro, MD/CEO of Skyward; Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, Pioneer Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly; Hon. Karo Ilolo, APC Chieftain; Hon. Pascal Akpo’r Emeluaha, Leader of the Isoko North Legislative Arm, as well as several technocrats, educationists, and industrialists.

The highlight of the event was the unanimous vote of confidence passed on President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, endorsing both leaders for a second term in office come 2027.
