The Christ Chosen Church of God International (CCCOG) has held its 3-day annual international Women Convention with the theme “Look and Live” which began on March 25th till 31st.
Delivering her sermon, the Coordinator-General Chosen Women Fellowship International Snr.Rev.Mrs.Maltida Unuefe said that the Christian journey always requires everyone to look onto God in faith in order to receive eternal life through Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith
Reading from the Bible book of Numbers 21:8-9, the Coordinator-General chosen women fellowship international said that the Israelites after rebelling against God and Moses, were punished from a snake bite after God’s mercy departed from their lives.
Speaking further, she noted that the Israelites sought redemption and mercy through Christ and where saved when Moses was instructed to make a bronze snake and place it on a pole for the Israelites to look upon for the restoration of their lives.
“The Israelites were not saved by their efforts, rituals or good works but simply by looking at the bronze snake on the pole for their healing which reinforces our stand and faith in God through Jesus Christ as the author and finisher of our faith for the complete restoration of our hope, salvation and transformation .” She added.
Also speaking at the annual international Women Convention, Snr. Rev.Mrs.Mary Igberase urged the congregation to engage in preaching the gospel and bringing the sick and lost souls to Christ for redemption.
Delivering her sermon on the topic “Desiring God’, Snr.Rev.Mrs.Mary Igberase said that what truly matters in working in God’s vineyard, is getting the work done for God, as it will be accounted for on the day of judgment.
She enjoined the congregation to see God as their first love adding that faithfulness and genuine repentance starts with loving God.
Senior Rev.Mrs Mary Igberase charged the congregation to firmly hold on to their primary spiritual assignment by guiding against self-pity adding that trusting in God always for the redemption of their circumstances is pivotal in working for God.
Delivering the second sermon on the topic “Looking unto God”, Rev. Mrs. Apple Dikeocha urged the congregation to see God as their ultimate source of strength, adding that divine blessings come to those who remain focused on him.
She added that the benefits of trusting in God are inumerible, noting that those who put their faith in God would never be put to shame, nor will he allow them to face challenges alone.
Speaking further, Rev.Mrs.Dikeocha warned that many who deviate from God end up chasing miracles rather than seeking a true relationship with Him.
She cautioned that the congregation against losing sight of God warning that this results in loss of his power and presence in their lives.
The Christ Chosen Church of God 2025 annual international Women Convention also featured bible quiz competition, rendition of melodious gospel songs among stothers.
The outreach program served as an opportunity to promote the work of the Kingdom as the women took the gospel message beyond the church community.
