The Edo State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Samson Osagie, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration for its significant progress in the security sector towards improved safety of lives and property of the people of the State.
Dr. Osagie made this statement while hosting members of the Edo Security Corps, Uhunmwode Chapter, in his office.
He emphasized the administration’s remarkable strides in the strengthening of the security architecture of the state, including collaboration with federal security agencies, the establishment of local security outfits, and the purchase of vehicles for effective policing of the State.
He urged members of the Edo Security Corps, alongside other security agencies, to remain dedicated to their duties, placing the safety and peace of Edo State at the forefront of their efforts.
The Edo Security Corps, under the leadership of Comrade Lucky Onobun in his remarks, expressed confidence in the administration and its agenda for peace and tranquility.
The Corps passed a vote of confidence in the Governor and called on all stakeholders to cooperate with him in his commitment to transforming the State.
In a separate meeting, Dr. Osagie received members of the Edo Civil Society Organization, led by Coordinator General Omobude Agho.
The group discussed the vital role of the Citizens Rights Departments (CRD) and Citizens Mediation Centre (CMC) in promoting Alternative Dispute Resolutions (ADR) among citizens.
