Benin City – Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has hailed the ruling of the Elections Tribunal, which upheld his victory in the 2024 governorship election, dismissing all opposition petitions.

In a verdict delivered on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, the tribunal reaffirmed Okpebholo’s election, stating that the process was conducted in substantial compliance with the Electoral Act. The ruling dismisses all claims brought forward by opposition parties, solidifying the governor’s mandate.

Governor Okpebholo expressed gratitude to the tribunal for its diligence and fairness in adjudicating the case. He also extended his appreciation to the people of Edo State for their unwavering support.

“This victory is not mine alone, but a victory for every citizen and resident of Edo State.
