The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced a fresh review of its service fees, with the new rates set to take effect from 1 August 2025.
The Commission, in a public notice issued on Tuesday, said the review followed rising operational costs and was part of efforts to enhance service delivery in an increasingly digital environment.
According to the notice, the adjustments reflect a commitment to improving efficiency, maintaining a modern corporate registry, and sustaining operations amid current economic realities.
The CAC described the new fees as moderate and the result of consultations with stakeholders. It emphasised that the changes aim to support the Commission’s ongoing digital transformation.
Under the revised structure, the cost of several key services has been increased. These include fees for voluntary striking-off, relisting of companies, historical search reports, and certified true copies of documents.
Also affected are services related to business names, incorporated trustees, and limited partnerships. The Commission confirmed that name reservations would remain unchanged at N1,000, except in cases involving restricted words.
The CAC stated that the full schedule of revised fees is available on its official website and advised businesses, lawyers, and compliance professionals to take note of the changes ahead of the implementation date.
It reaffirmed its dedication to transparency, customer satisfaction, and responsive service, stressing that the new fee regime is essential for building a resilient corporate regulatory environment.
