BENIN CITY – The acting Chairman of the Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Ebanehita Sonia Omonzane, has held her maiden official meeting with Directors and Board members as she formally assumed leadership of the agency.
The meeting, held at the Board’s headquarters in Benin City, served as a platform for Hon. Omonzane to familiarise herself with the Board’s internal processes and personnel, as well as to articulate her vision for the future of basic education in the State.
Describing the engagement as a critical first step, she emphasised the necessity of collaboration, professionalism, and commitment across all levels of the Board’s operations.
“The success of this Board depends on collective effort. We must work together to deliver results,” she said.
Omonzane pledged to lead by example, noting that her administration would prioritise discipline, punctuality, and innovation as pillars for transforming the education sector.
