Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has mourned the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away in a London hospital.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, the Governor described Buhari as a patriotic and disciplined leader whose legacy of integrity, anti-corruption drive, and commitment to national security will be remembered.
Okpebholo also noted Buhari’s contributions to infrastructure, agriculture, and the fight against insurgency, as well as his continued service as an elder statesman after leaving office.
He extended condolences to the Buhari family, the government and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians, praying for the peaceful repose of the former President’s soul.
