FUGAR — The Chairman of Etsako Central Local Government Council, Hon. Cephas Yakubu Muhammed, has sworn in five new Supervisors and ten Special Assistants, urging them to uphold integrity, work in synergy, and deliver quality service to the people.

At the swearing-in ceremony held at the council secretariat in Fugar, Hon. Yakubu charged the appointees to bring fresh ideas to the local government executive council (EXCO), and contribute meaningfully to the development of the area.

“As a chairman, I may not have all the ideas, but with your collective input and support, we can transform this local government into one of the best in the state,” he said.

He congratulated the appointees, calling on them to consider their selection as a call to service and to work harmoniously with one another in line with the council’s developmental goals. 

He warned against insubordination, stressing that anyone found wanting would be removed.

Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in Supervisors, Hon. Atairu Murtala expressed gratitude to the chairman and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area, pledging loyalty and commitment to delivering democratic dividends to the people.

The new Supervisors sworn in include: Hon. Atairu Murtala Zuberu, Ogboanor O. Anthony, Bello Muhammed Rufai, Onyobi David Irhiewo, and Okhakumhe Mariam Haruna.

Dignitaries at the event included the Vice Chairman, Hon. Rosemary Umasor; Secretary to the Local Government, Professor Jerome Ileile; Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Marwan Yusuf; Director of Administration and General Services, Chief Okankan; and APC LGA Chairman, Capt. Phillip Itsede (rtd), among others.
