BENIN CITY – The Edo State Organised Private Sector (EDSOPS) has lauded Governor Monday Okpebholo for repositioning technical and vocational education as a key driver of economic growth and industrial development in the state.
In a goodwill message signed by the President of the Benin Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BENCCIMA), Engr. Omoregie Godwin Eki, MNSE, AICMC, on behalf of EDSOPS, the group commended the governor for providing an enabling environment that has strengthened collaboration between government, private sector players, and stakeholders in technical education.
Eki also hailed the Edo State Board for Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE), led by Barr. (Mrs.) Onomen Goodness Briggs, for her leadership and commitment to implementing initiatives that benefit citizens, while praising the dedication of Lady Blessing Aiworo Odion, Acting Director of Policy and Strategic Coordination at the Board.
“Please keep it up and Edo State will appreciate and remember you,” Eki said, while reaffirming the private sector’s readiness to partner with the government.
He stressed that the synergy between BTVE and EDSOPS under Governor Okpebholo’s guidance would help Edo overcome challenges and achieve greater progress, noting: “With the kind of partnership established by the Edo State Government, there is no obstacle that cannot be surmounted. We pray for continued progress together and for Edo State in general.”
The EDSOPS president assured that the private sector remains committed to supporting government efforts to build skills, promote inclusive growth, and advance sustainable development across Edo State.
