BENIN CITY – Hon Dennis Idahosa, Deputy Governor of Edo, has paid tribute to the late Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, applauding his dedication to service and commitment to national security.
Idahosa, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo on Monday in Benin City, said Arase’s efforts would remain a source of pride to Edo and the nation at large
The deputy governor described Arase’s demise as a great loss, not only to the state but to the entire nation.
He extended his condolences to his immediate family, the Nigeria Police Force, and the people of the state.
“I received the news of the passing of our dear Solomon Ehigiator Arase, former Inspector General of Police and Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), with sadness and a deep sense of sorrow.
“As a dedicated intelligence officer and patriot, he served Nigeria with courage, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to the security and well-being of his fellow countrymen and women.
“His legacy as one of the finest officers that have led the Nigeria Police Force will remain a source of pride to our people.
“May the God grant his soul eternal rest and comfort his loved ones at this difficult time,” he stated.
