BENIN CITY – Governor Monday Okpebholo has approved the appointment of Professor Eunice Eboserehimen Omonzejie as Vice Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was conveyed in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
Professor Omonzejie was selected from three nominees recommended by the University’s Governing Council.
A Professor of French and Francophone African Literatures in the Department of Modern Languages, she is a prolific researcher, former President of the AAU Chapter of the National Association of Women Academics (NAWACS), and author of Women Novelists in Francophone Black Africa as well as co-editor of several academic works.
The State Government said her appointment reflects her academic excellence and administrative experience, expressing confidence that she would advance the institution’s mandate of producing world-class graduates and driving innovation
