Abia Warriors Forward, Sunday Megwo, has Praised the team performance, following the vital 1-0 away win over Kun Khalifat, in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 17 encounter, On Sunday, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
The forward, who captained the side in the game, for the ten time this season, featured for 86th minute as the Imama Amapakabo’s led side secured their third away victories of the season.
The forward, while speaking shortly after the encounter, expressed excited for getting the maximum points against Kun Khalifat in Owerri.
” Of course, we are happy to have secured the maximum points, but it was a difficult game against Kun Khalifat, but we knew that we had to win the gam
e to get back to winning ways which we did. So it’s a massive three pointson the road for us.”
The Umuahia-born goal poacher, further expressed that the team will continue working hard to get back nto winning ways at home, when they play host to back Warri Wolves, in a matchday 18 Clash next Sunday in Umuahia.
” Yes, it is a long season, and I believe in what the team can achieve at the end of the campaign. But we have to continue working work to get more victories and move forward in the log table . I have the confidence that we will get a positive result against Warri Wolves next weekend.”
Megwo, so far this season, has scored four goals and registered two assists in Ten league appearances for the Imama Amapakabo’s led side, as they maintained second place in the NPFL Standings on 27 points from 17 matches.
