… Says Nigeria ‘Turning a Corner’

ABUJA – Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole (APC–Edo North) has urged constituents to remain steadfast and hopeful as Nigeria enters 2026, insisting that recent national developments indicate that the sacrifices of citizens are beginning to yield positive outcomes.

In his New Year message to the people of Edo North, the former labour leader and ex-governor congratulated residents for witnessing the start of a new year, expressing optimism that 2026 would deliver better prospects than the year gone by.

Oshiomhole noted that Nigerians celebrated the festive season without scarcity of petroleum products, highlighting that fuel prices dropped shortly before Christmas and remained stable throughout the holiday period.

He added that the yuletide season recorded comparative stability across the country, with no major spikes in insecurity or abrupt increases in the prices of essential commodities.

According to the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), these developments, though modest, signal that the nation is gradually “turning a corner” after years of economic and social challenges.

He attributed this progress to what he described as the leadership of a “competent, tested and trusted captain” steering the country toward recovery.

Reiterating his commitment to the people of Edo North, Oshiomhole pledged to remain a strong and consistent voice in the National Assembly.

He assured constituents of his resolve to push for policies and interventions that will improve living standards, strengthen communities, and ensure the delivery of democratic dividends across the senatorial district.

As 2026 begins, the senator prayed for God’s guidance and grace for the people of Edo North, expressing confidence that the new year will usher in improved peace, progress and prosperity for both the district and the nation.
