LAGOS: Dr Adedeji Adeleke, father of music star Davido, has declared that multiple DNA tests have confirmed that the singer is not the biological father of Anuoluwapo, whose paternity claim resurfaced recently on social media.
Adeleke made the clarification on Wednesday at a news conference in Lagos, following a January 15, 2025, letter posted on X requesting a DNA test.
He disclosed that five DNA tests were conducted – three on Davido and two on his cousin, B-Red to eliminate any possibility of error, with all results returning negative.
“I relied solely on science, and science showed he is not the father,” Adeleke said, adding that he would willingly accept the child if the tests proved otherwise.
He said the family had been aware of the claim since 2014 and had taken steps to clarify the issue, but the matter continued to resurface online.
Adeleke also revealed that he had supported Anuoluwapo’s education and enrolled her mother at Adeleke University, though she later dropped out.
He accused a blogger of sponsoring the recent social media post and said the family would take legal action for impersonation and misinformation.
