KANO: The Kano State Police Command has recovered a stolen Toyota Sienna valued at N20 million and handed it over to its rightful owner, Mr Ali Alti.
The vehicle was stolen in Maiduguri on January 5, 2026, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the command’s spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa.
Kiyawa said the vehicle was recovered on January 7 during intelligence-led patrols, adding that four suspects were currently under investigation.
He disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Mr Ibrahim Bakori, ordered the handover after Alti presented valid proof of ownership.
The command commended its officers for their professionalism and thanked members of the public for their support in crime prevention, while advising residents to be cautious when hiring domestic staff.
