BENIN CITY: A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and pro-government advocate, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat, has said that the recent elevation of Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari to the position of Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Political and Other Matters reflects the President’s strong confidence in his political judgement and leadership capacity.
Ramat made the remark in a statement he signed and made available to journalists in Benin City, describing Masari’s appointment as a recognition of years of dedication, strategic engagement and commitment to public service.
According to him, those who are familiar with Masari’s contributions to the nation’s political landscape would not find the development surprising, noting that the new responsibility is a natural progression in a career defined by quiet sacrifice and consistent service.
He recalled that before the latest appointment, Masari had served since 2023 as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, stressing that the elevation underscores the President’s trust in his ability to handle delicate political responsibilities and navigate Nigeria’s complex political environment with discretion.
Ramat described Masari as a strategist whose leadership style is anchored on humility, sincerity and loyalty, adding that his influence is often felt through the opportunities he creates and the trust he commands rather than through publicity.
He observed that in a political climate where many seek visibility and recognition, Masari has built a reputation for working behind the scenes to strengthen relationships and advance constructive political engagement.
The APC chieftain further noted that Masari’s leadership has helped shape the growth and confidence of many individuals who have benefited from his guidance and encouragement over the years.
Ramat also described him as a deeply religious and trustworthy personality whose integrity and sense of responsibility have earned him the respect of colleagues and associates alike.
He added that Masari’s approach to leadership is driven by a strong commitment to results, noting that whenever responsibility is entrusted to him, he pursues it with seriousness, focus and adherence to due process.
Despite his growing influence, Ramat said Masari remains approachable and reflective, often demonstrating a willingness to listen and support those around him.
He maintained that the presence of leaders with such attributes within the inner circle of President Tinubu is significant as Nigeria gradually moved toward the political horizon of 2027, expressing optimism that their loyalty, experience and strategic thinking would continue to contribute to the stability and effectiveness of governance.
