The Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS) has extended the deadline for filing Individual Annual Tax Returns, otherwise known as Tax Form A, and PAYE Tax Returns, Tax Form H3, to April 30, 2026.

The returns were originally due on March 31, in line with the statutory deadline.

The extension applies to a wide range of taxpayers, including individuals, business owners, professionals, freelancers, content creators, entertainers, artisans, consultants, tradesmen and women, employees, and employers of labour.

Executive Chairman of EIRS, Mr. John Osirenimhe Odior, FCA, ACTI, said the one-month extension was approved to strengthen taxpayer support and improve administrative accuracy.

According to him, the extension will give taxpayers more time to assemble relevant documents, encourage greater compliance with tax obligations, improve the accuracy of financial reporting, and create additional room for taxpayer sensitisation and public education across the state.

The service advised eligible taxpayers to take advantage of its digital platforms to avoid last-minute rush.

Individual taxpayers filing Form A are to visit the official EIRS website at www.eirs.gov.ng
to begin the process.

Employers of labour filing Form H3 are to submit their returns through paye.eirs.gov.ng or at the nearest EIRS branch office.
