Heartland FC has failed to respond to former head coach Charles Uzor after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Players’ Status and Arbitration Committee ordered the club to pay him ₦6.4 million for unlawful termination of contract.
Uzor said “the club has not contacted him since the ruling, despite the Committee’s directive that Heartland FC must pay the compensation within 45 days.”
The Committee found that the club terminated the coach’s contract on June 11, 2025, without just cause and without following proper disciplinary procedure.
Uzor had signed a contract with Heartland FC on August 1, 2024, with a monthly salary of ₦700,000.
The NFF also warned that failure to comply with the ruling could lead to sanctions, including a transfer and registration ban on the club.
