‎Ghana are set to officially unveil Carlos Queiroz as their new head coach on Thursday, marking a significant step in the Black Stars’ preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

‎The vastly experienced tactician is expected to address the media during his unveiling, where he will outline his plans and vision for the national team ahead of the global showpiece.

‎Queiroz will not be arriving alone, as he is set to be accompanied by his long-time assistant Roger De Sa, along with three additional backroom staff members to strengthen Ghana’s technical setup.

‎Details of his contract have also emerged, revealing a short-term arrangement that underscores the urgency of Ghana’s World Cup ambitions. The agreement will initially run for just four months.

‎However, it includes a high-stakes performance clause should Ghana reach the semi-finals of the tournament, Queiroz will automatically be retained as head coach on a permanent basis.

‎The arrangement reflects a results-driven approach by the Ghana Football Association, as the Black Stars aim to make a deep run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
