All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and grassroots mobilizer, Chief Richard Oshiokhai Lamai, has called for united support for the re-election bid of Senator Adams Oshiomhole, insisting that continuity in leadership remains critical to sustained development in Edo North.
Speaking at an enlarged APC stakeholders’ meeting in Afemai, Lamai urged the party faithful to rally behind Adams Oshiomhole, describing him as a tested and courageous leader whose political experience continues to benefit the region.
He said Oshiomhole had consistently represented the interests of his constituents, advocating policies aimed at empowerment, infrastructure development and improved opportunities for youths across Afemai land.
Lamai noted that the senator’s accessibility, performance and commitment to public service had strengthened public trust and positioned him as the preferred candidate for another term in the Senate.
According to him, backing Oshiomhole’s re-election would ensure stronger representation at the national level, enhanced political influence for Edo North, and expanded development opportunities for local communities.
He called on party members to close ranks, remain disciplined and prioritise unity, stressing that internal cohesion within the APC would be key to electoral success.
“Senator Adams Oshiomhole has demonstrated capacity, leadership and commitment to the welfare of our people. This is the time to come together and secure continuity for greater progress,” Lamai said.
He expressed optimism that with sustained support, Edo North would witness increased federal presence in infrastructure, empowerment programmes and constituency development initiatives.
