Bendel Insurance Football Club will on Monday,June 1,2026 file out against Crown FC of Ogbomoso in the Round of 32 of the ongoing President Federation Cup at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Lagos State.
The match is scheduled to kickoff at 4pm at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Lagos.
The 2023 Champions , according to the manager Kennedy Boboye will be approaching the game with all seriousness, noting that there is no second chance in challenge Cup.
Boboye added that there is no room for complacency as all the clubs that qualified and come this far are not pushovers.
” We face Crown Football Club in Lagos and I have reminded our boys to approach the match as if it is the final match. Being a premier league club does not guarantee your victory over NNL or NLO clubs. You must work for the result you want to achieve.”
” We know Crown FC and they are a good side no one can just brush aside. So,we are in Lagos to fight for what we want which is to qualify for the next round as our focus is now only on the federation cup. Our’s is to take every match one after the other and let’s see how it shapes out in the end. ” Boboye said.
Bendel Insurance FC began the 2026 Federation cup in the round of 64 with 2-1 victory over Katsina Utd Junior.
Kayode Oke scored twice to help Bendel Insurance FC come back from a goal down to beat Katsina United Junior at the Area 3 Football pitch in Abuja last week Tuesday evening to progress to the round of 32.
The Benin Arsenals’ opponents Crown FC on the other hand beat Cynosure Football Club 2-0 in Anyingba, Kogi on Wednesday last week to advance to the round of 32.
The two teams now face each other in the Round of 32, hoping for a place in the Round of 16 where they will face the winner of just relegated El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and Akwa United of Uyo.
