It was a night of elegance, culture, purpose, and celebration as Bossey Vivian Odufa, representing Miss Auchi, emerged victorious and was crowned Miss Edo International 2026 at the grand finale of the prestigious pageant.

The event, produced by Starworld Potential Theater, under the leadership of its CEO, Debby Benson, brought together distinguished guests, stakeholders, sponsors, and supporters to witness an unforgettable showcase of beauty, intelligence, leadership, and cultural heritage.

After weeks of intensive activities, training, and competition, Bossey Vivian Odufa distinguished herself through her confidence, eloquence, poise, and commitment to making a positive impact in society, earning the coveted crown and succeeding as the new queen of the Miss Edo International platform.

Emerging as First Runner-Up and Miss Edo International Culture 2026 was Peace Osasenaga Ekinado, who proudly represented Miss Oredo. Her outstanding performance, grace, cultural awareness, and dedication throughout the competition earned her this prestigious title.

The title of Second Runner-Up and Miss Edo International Tourism 2026 was awarded to Imafidon Oghosa Valerie, representing Miss Idogbo. Her remarkable display of elegance, intelligence, and passion for promoting the tourism potential of Edo State made her a deserving recipient of the title.

Speaking on the success of the event, Debby Benson, Founder and Organizer of Miss Edo International, expressed profound gratitude to sponsors, partners, supporters, contestants, and the entire organizing team for their contributions toward making the 2026 edition a resounding success.

She reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to empowering young women, promoting Edo culture, tourism, and providing a platform that nurtures leadership, confidence, and community service.

For years, Miss Edo International has stood as more than a beauty pageant. It is a platform dedicated to discovering and developing young women who are passionate about creating positive change and representing the rich cultural heritage of Edo State.

The 2026 edition, themed “Beyond the Crown,” once again demonstrated that true beauty is found in purpose, leadership, and service, leaving a lasting legacy of empowerment and excellence.

As promised, the 2026 edition was clearly “bigger and better, more inspiring, and more impactful”, The Nigerian Observer Newspapers media crew observed. Beyond the glamour of the final coronation night, contestants, we learnt, had  participated in various developmental activities, including mentorship sessions, cultural exhibitions, social outreach programs, and leadership training; all these activities  were  designed to prepare contestants not just for the pageant stage but also for meaningful roles in society. The eventual winner will serve as an ambassador who promotes Edo culture, supports social initiatives, and represents the aspirations of young women across the state.

The impact of pageantry initiatives like Miss Edo International goes far beyond the stage lights. For many young participants like Bossey Vivian Odufa (Miss Auchi); Peace Osasenaga Ekinado (Miss Oredo); Imafidon Oghosa Valerie (Miss Idogbo), etc. the experience becomes a transformative journey of self-discovery and personal development.

Contestants often gain valuable skills in public speaking, networking, event presentation, and social advocacy. These skills can open doors to careers in media, fashion, business, and social entrepreneurship.

In a country where youth empowerment remains a critical priority, initiatives that build confidence and leadership capacity among young people play an important role in shaping the future. By encouraging contestants to engage in community development projects, the pageant reinforces the idea that beauty must be accompanied by purpose.

Past participants have gone on to contribute to various fields, using their visibility and influence to promote education, health awareness, and youth development programs.
