Abuja: President Bola Tinubu has appointed a former lawmaker, Patrick Obahiagbon, as Executive Director, Strategy and Commercial, of Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC).

This is contained in a statement issued by the Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday in Abuja.

Obahiagbon replaces Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama who also resigned to pursue his political ambition in Edo.

A former member of both the Edo House of Assembly and the House of Representatives, Obahiagbon is widely known for his legislative experience.

The president also appointed appointed a former House of Representatives Spokesman, Abdulrazak Namdas, as the new Director-General of Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Namdas replaces Dakorinama George who resigned to contest for an elective position in his home state.

NAN also reports that Namdas, who represented Ganye/Jada/Mayo Belwa/Toungo Federal Constituency of Adamawa, served as spokesperson to the Eight House of Representatives.

He was also an aspirant in the recent Adamawa governorship primary election and previously served as Chief Press Secretary to former Gov. Boni Haruna of Adamawa.

Tinubu also re-appointed Chukwuma Umeoji as Executive Director, Corporate Services, of NDPHC.

Umeoji, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Aguata Federal Constituency of Anambra, returns to the position after resigning to pursue his political ambition.

All the appointments, according to the presidency, take immediate effect.
