Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has on behalf of the State Government congratulated his deputy, Rt Hon Dennis Idahosa, on his birthday, describing him as a trusted ally whose contributions have supported the administration’s development agenda.

Governor Okpebholo who praised Idahosa for his commitment to the administration’s SHINE Agenda and his role in advancing governance across Edo State, described the deputy governor as a strategic thinker, saying his counsel, experience and work ethic had contributed to the administration’s progress.

“My deputy has proven to be far more than a Deputy Governor—he is a trusted confidant, a strategic thinker, and a man of uncommon integrity,” Governor Okpebholo said.

He said Rt Hon Idahosa had played important role as an assistant in strengthening the state’s security architecture, supporting health and education initiatives, and coordinating inter-agency efforts on infrastructure projects across Benin City and other parts of Edo.

Governor Okpebholo also commended the deputy governor for his engagement with community leaders, stakeholders and development partners, saying such relationships were important to the state’s development.

“Beyond his official responsibilities, Dennis embodies the values we seek to build—honesty, diligence, and genuine care for our people,” the governor said.

According to him, the deputy governor has demonstrated political maturity and remained committed to putting the interests of Edo State first.

The governor said the deputy governor’s ability to listen, develop strategies and implement government policies had earned him the respect of colleagues, civil servants and residents.

“I have watched you lead with conviction and humility. You have earned the respect of colleagues, civil servants, and citizens alike through your conduct and your results,” Okpebholo said.

He wished Idahosa good health, strength and many more years of productive service to Edo State.
