Benfica Ladies recently signed striker Janet ‘Semenya’ Akekoromowei yesterday landed in Poland ahead of the U20 Women’s World Cup.
Semenya flew directly from her base in Portugal and was accompanied to Poland by her legal adviser.
She is expected to be joined later by the rest of the Falconets squad led by coach Moses Aduku.
Portuguese champions Benfica had initially blocked her from featuring for Nigeria at the World Cup, before they later reversed their decision.
The Falconets will open their World Cup campaign on September 7, before other first round group matches against New Caledonia and China.
