Members of various Inter-ethnic nationalities in Edo State have embarked on a massive road walk across Benin metropolis to canvass for support and votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.
The road walk took participants from the King square in Ring road through mission road and terminated at the Ministry of Education as various inter-ethnic nationalities in Edo State canvassed for votes for President Tinubu to ensure he wins a second term to enable him continue his developmental stride.
The coordinator of the road walk and the first Commissioner for Inter-ethnic relation who hails from Enugun State and Anayochukwu Oli said the 2.5 million votes promised President Tinubu will be delivered during the forthcoming general election.
He said the victory for the candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the general election will be a very wide margin in all the seats that will be contested for.
He noted that the group will continue to sensitize the people about the good works of President Tinubu and the need to return him for a second term to complete his developmental agenda that will put the nation in the threshold of history.
“We would continue to sensitize our people in Edo State, letting them know about the good works of the President and his good intentions for Nigeria. His reforms might be difficult but it’s for the growth, development and stability of the Nigeria economy.
“I urge all of us to continue to preach to others, showing them the developmental stride of our President and our governor and the need to vote for continuity to ensure development is spread across Nigeria”.
The commissioner thanked the President for his educational policy that has created the platform for students to access interest free loans that has supported their education ensuring all access education no matter the financial status of their parents.
Speaking to journalists after the road walk, President of Niger Delta Indegene in Edo State Elder Pius Iyamu said the road walk is to galvanize support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“This road walk we just concluded today shows that the Niger Delta Indegene and other Indigenous nationalities living in Edo State are on ground for President Tinubu.
“We shall carry out door to door campaign to mobilize and canvass support for votes for our president and all other APC candidates in the forthcoming general election and ensure they win their various seats contested for”.
Moshood Kolawole who spoke on behalf of the Yoruba ethnic nationality in the State said they are part of the road walk to ensure President Tinubu wins his second term re-election bid.
“We are here for the progress, growth and development of Nigeria as president Tinubu stands for growth and development. We are all out here today to sing the praises of our president and ensure he wins the election”.
Igbo woman leader Edo State Hon. Okechukwu Victoria, said the crowd that embarked on the road walk shows readiness to deliver President Tinubu in the general election come 2027.
“We are ready to deliver President Tinubu come 2027 as the 2.5 million votes is sure and President Tinubu will be returned to Aso Rock for the second time”.
