In fulfillment of his campaign promises, Hon. Donald Okogbe, the member representing Akoko-Edo Constituency 2 in the Edo State House of Assembly, is organizing a quiz competition for primary schools in Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan. This initiative aims to promote digital orientation among young pupils in the region.
The maiden edition, scheduled for July 8, 2024, will take place at the Holy Name of Jesus Montessori School/Church auditorium at 12 noon. Only primary schools within Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan are eligible to participate in this edition, while others will have their turn in subsequent events.
Despite his alleged unlawful suspension from the assembly, Hon. Donald Okogbe remains committed to fulfilling his campaign promises to his constituents. This quiz competition is proof of his dedication to the community, particularly the young minds of the Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan.
The competition is open to all primary schools in Ikpeshi/Egbigere Clan, with each school represented by two pupils. Comrade Robinson Akhenoba will serve as the quiz master. Each participating school will be represented by two pupils, who will face off in a battle of wits.
The winner of the competition will receive an electronic teaching tab, a cutting-edge tool designed to enhance digital learning for young pupils. This prize is expected to inspire and motivate the pupils to embrace technology and develop a love for learning.
The quiz competition promises to be an exciting and enriching experience for the pupils, and the community looks forward to witnessing the display of knowledge and talent, according to the organisers.
